Missions

Calvary Baptist Church is a participating member of the Southern Baptist Convention. As a member of the SBC, we designate a portion of our yearly budget to go towards SBC initiatives. These initiatives help fund International mission efforts and contribute to the financial support of our SBC Missionaries. Calvary also supports local and regional mission efforts through financial contributions to the Greater East Texas Baptist Association and our Southern Baptists of Texas State Convention.

In addition to our Cooperative Program spending, we help support specific missions efforts, both financially and through service, in Belize and Cambodia.

We are helping with the ongoing relief efforts to parts of Louisiana where Hurricane Ida devastated these rural areas in 2021. As of right now Calvary has a goal of raising $5,000 to go towards these efforts. We will have a day in the near future where you can volunteer to help assemble the items purchased for the relief efforts. After assembling these items, there will be an opportunity to help deliver and serve the mission field in Louisiana . You can watch the video below to learn more.
